Claymation message from Saipan, with love
Nov 08
nathanshields describes himself as a “math teacher and illustrator chilling in Saipan.” Relax, we didn’t know where Saipan is, either. Sorta sounds Japanese or sumpthin’.
According to everyone’s favorite source of misinformation, Wikipedia, Saipan is the largest island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), a chain of 15 tropical islands belonging to the Marianas archipelago in the western Pacific Ocean (15°10’51”N, 145°45’21”E) with a total area of 44.55 sq mi (115.4 km2).
Cleared that right up for ya, didn’t it? Think “Guam” and all those other lovely places that feature heavily in old WWII movies and you’ve got it.
Nathan needs to keep his two toddlers busy and that involves (what else) making funny shapes out of modeling clay. He reserves the right to use colors of his choice and re-use certain shapes, but hey, it’s only $5 and we think he did a bang-up job on our vid:
